We flag any existing lines, pipes, or cables on your property to avoid potential issues with underground systems. We work with local utility companies to locate and mark water, gas, sewer, and electrical lines. We also identify the area where we will drill or excavate.

Securing Permits
We handle municipal and county paperwork, securing all necessary permits to ensure your system is compliant with local codes. We will keep you informed about the progress of approvals and permits, and may update our installation timeline if needed.
Phase 2: Ordering and Installing Your Geothermal Equipment

Tapping Into the Earth
We plan your geothermal installation in stages to ensure a smooth transition from your old system to the new geothermal setup. Before we break ground, we may meet with you to review final decisions on the piping and the project timeline. Then, it’s on to excavation or drilling.
Depending on your property size, we will move forward with one of two methods:
- Vertical Drilling: A specialized rig bores small, deep holes to house the loops. This loop arrangement is ideal for smaller yards or established landscapes.
- Horizontal Excavation: If you have more acreage, an excavator will create trenches several feet below the surface over a large swath of your City #1, ST#1, property.
You may be nervous about loop installation, but we want you to know that we treat your property like it’s our own. A big drilling rig or excavator can seem overwhelming and out of place on your property, but our team strives to keep the project footprint as small as possible.

We check for proper operation of the geothermal heat pump, loops, and any additional features you may have opted to include.
After we thoroughly test the system, one of our skilled installers will show you how to use your new equipment, change air filters, and explain how to optimize your ultra-efficient heating and cooling system.

The journey ends with us handing you a complete project packet. We handle any remaining paperwork, including rebates and warranty documents.
Your local municipality may also require a final inspection to ensure everything meets building and safety codes. Once the installation passes inspection, you can officially start enjoying the benefits of your new geothermal system.
